Hey B0$$ Lady!
“If you wanna be your own boss, you gotta work your way up – have the skills.”,Courtney A. Kemp…… My mission is to create a group of fitness Bosses with every post I write about the work I put in with you. Time to boss up together!
I’m truly excited to formally introduce myself to all the beautiful ladies and some handsome gents that decided to click on my blog for fitness guidance, entertainment, and reviews.
My name is Rennae Morgan, Jamaican-American who currently is a junior at Bethune-Cookman University. My home city is the beautiful sunny Rancho Cucamonga, California and I just turned 21-years-old. I traveled across the country to ultimately force growth on myself. Coming from a family of 13, being the baby gave me automatic friends and protection. No matter what situation I found myself in I could always count on my siblings if not my loving but slightly annoying parents.
Luckily I was raised to be an independent thinker, so I made the decision to not attend any University in California. You may think I’m crazy but I PROMISE this has been the most eye-opening, heart-tugging, and lit experience I’ve had so far. I’ve changed immensely for the better. Going to an HBCU really has sculpted me to get in tune with my African heritage and be introduced to the rich culture instead of watching it on TV. Let’s be real BET has definitely changed and is mostly for entertainment.
Fitness has always been a love of mine! I joined a track club named “West coast Gazelles” with a few of my brothers and sisters. That team pushed my mental strength ability in ways a 7-year-old usually does not get pushed in today’s society without someone screaming “Child abuse”. I grew up on hard work on the mind and body, throughout my childhood and teenage years.
Racking up on medals and awards, I realized that I wasn’t in love with track anymore but I was staying because of the training results. I was more interested in shaping my body in my favor with certain workouts. Over time I picked the brains of my coaches who trained Junior Olympians, I spent hours looking up different workouts for each part of the glutes and stomach. Most importantly, I tried out different methods when it came to the scheduling of working out. I came to college and started training different type of bodies to see how fast results came in when they actually listen word for word.
This is the time when I record all my found knowledge for the benefits of the B0$$ Ladies of the world. See you next time!
